Oak, as a furniture material, can complement a broad range of decor choices. Its blonde-brown hue fits well into a color scheme of pale or neutral colors and provides fresh contrast to darker flooring or cabinetry elements, for example. A round table can encourage intimacy, its lack of hard corners lending it a softer, if not romantic, feel. It can also offer a sense of equality among those seated around it. When extended with a leaf, a round oak table takes on an oval shape. Does this Spark an idea?
