The cloth on a pool table can become covered in chalk and dirt after playing just a few games of pool. Dust can also accumulate on the pool table felt if you leave the table uncovered for a long period of time. Cleaning the pool table cloth every now and again can prolong the life of the table, and save you money in the long run. Using the wrong products, such as water or sponges, could stain or otherwise damage the pool table cloth.
Instructions
- 1
Wipe the pool table cloth with a pool table brush. Brush any noticeable chalk, dirt and other particles into the pool table's pockets. Wipe the felt gently to avoid scratching or damaging the felt.
2Run the hand-held vacuum cleaner over the cloth of the pool table. Doing so can pick up any leftover dust or chalk on the cloth. Use an attachment for your normal vacuum cleaner if you are without a hand-held vacuum cleaner.
3Spray the pool table cloth with the pool table felt cleaner. Cover the entire felt with the cleaner.
4Leave the cleaner on the pool table cloth for one to two minutes.
5Wipe the entire pool table cloth with a microfiber cloth.
6Examine the pool table cloth. Repeat steps 3 through 5 if the felt is still dirty.
