How to Make a Party Canopy

Party canopies provide shade and shelter from the sun and elements during outdoor parties. Instead of renting or purchasing a canopy, make your own party canopy to use for all of your outside parties. Does this Spark an idea?

Mark a hole in the center of each of the four end covers. Drill a hole that is large enough for your screws.

Insert a screw into each of the four holes with the screw's head on the inside of the cover.

Fit the end covers onto the ends of the PVC pipe.

Insert the screws through the preexisting holes in the corners of the tarp.

Place a nut onto the end of each screw to hold the tarp firmly in place.

Position the PVC pipes on end. Have someone help you support the PVC pipes.

Tie the ends of two lengths of rope around each screw that is attached to the tarp. Tie a tent stake to the other end of each length of rope.

Pull each rope tight toward the ground, diagonal from the tarp and PVC pipes. Hammer the tent stakes into the ground.
