Centerpieces get expensive, especially at a wedding or banquet with dozens of tables. But decorators face the risk of cutting quality when they cut cost. It doesn't have to be that way, though. There are many options for creating beautiful centerpieces on a limited budget using just a few simple do-it-yourself design techniques and some easy-to-find materials. Put rocks into the glass cylinder vase. Evenly distribute the rocks so they form a even layer on the bottom of the vase. Add another layer. There should be about an inch of rocks at the bottom.
2Fill the rocky vase with water, leaving about an inch of room at the top. Don't overfill the vase or the water will overflow when you add the last layer.
3Cut the stems off the four garden roses so the bulbs are the only things left. Place the bulbs on top of the water to top off the centerpiece. The roses should be sticking up from the top of the vase about 1/2 inch above.
4Repeat Steps 1-3 for as many tables that need centerpieces. You can change up the color of roses from table to table as long as they match your overall theme. Additionally, you can use a bigger vase, more rocks and more roses if needed, depending on the size of your tables and what you need.
