How to Arrange a Wedding Table

How to Arrange a Wedding Table

Your wedding is one of the most memorable days of your life. Of course, you want everything to be perfect, including the wedding table. The head table where the bride, groom, and wedding attendants sit will be the focal point of the wedding reception. Therefore, it is important for the arrangement of the wedding table to complement or even accentuate the brides beauty.

Instructions

    1
    The wedding table centerpiece

Purchase or rent the tablecloths and napkins in the wedding colors. Purchase or make a flower arrangement centerpiece for the wedding table similar to the bride's bouquet. Make sure to use the wedding colors for the flowers. Use plenty of green so the colors of the flowers stand out. Use hot glue to attach a lace bow to the centerpiece, and about every 10 inches down the front of the table cloth, to add a hint of elegance.

    2
    Decorate the champagne glasses

Attach strands of faux pearls, lace, and dried flowers to the champagne glasses for the wedding table using hot glue. This will make the glasses look very elegant, is inexpensive, and easy to do. Use the same material that you used for the bows on the front of the table to tie individual bows around each set of silverware already wrapped in napkins.

    3
Flower arrangement in a glass bowl

Placing a single flower with a little green in an ornate glass bowl is one way to accessorize the tables and spread the wedding colors throughout the room. This will add continuity to the room and help draw eyes to the wedding table. Use your hot glue to add a simple ribbon or lace around the bowl for added elegance.

    4
    Wedding cake and gift tables

Arrange to have the wedding cake and gift table near the head table, but not close enough to take attention away from the bride and groom. Accessorizing these tables by adding matching bows to the front adds to sense of elegance you are trying to create.

    5
    Guest book arrangement

Place the guest book nearby as well, adding your colors to the arrangement.

    6

Place business size cards on each of the place settings at the head table so each of the wedding attendants will know where to sit. This will help avoid any awkward seating issues. The bride and groom should be in the center. The best man should sit beside the groom, then each of his groomsmen in the same order they stood in the wedding. The maid of honor should sit next to the bride, and then each of the bridesmaids in the same order as the wedding.
