Stretch your tape measure across the tablecloth. Arrange the tape measure so it is stretching across the widest points of the tablecloth.

Read the measurement and write this number down. This measurement is the diameter of the tablecloth. Most manufacturers sell round tablecloths based on the diameter of the cloth.

Look for a round tablecloth that lists this number as its measurement. Choose a larger or smaller tablecloth according to the desired length of drop that you would like the cloth to have.

Measuring Your Table for a Round Tablecloth

Clear off the round table you wish to measure. Stretch the tape measure across the widest points of the table.

Read the measurement and write down this number. This measurement is the diameter of your tabletop. Decide the length of drop you would like your tablecloth to have from the edge of your table by stretching the tape measure vertically from the edge of the table.
