How to Make a Round Tablecloth Centerpiece

How to Make a Round Tablecloth Centerpiece

Creating a centerpiece for your wedding on round tables with tablecloths can be as simple or difficult as you choose to make it. Consider the formality, theme, colors and the season of your wedding and choose a centerpiece that fits in with your wedding and budget. Think about your personality and that of your betrothed, and let that shine through in your centerpieces. Use square vases to add a contrasting shape and fill them with items that bring all of the other details of your wedding together.

Instructions

    1

Arrange the three square vases in the center of the table. They should each be a different height and size to create visual interest.

    2

Fill each vase with the base of your filler. Add colorful pebbled, beads, sea glass, river rocks, sand or water to each vase. Use the height of the vase as a guide so the fillers come to uneven points, rather than creating a straight line across the three vases.

    3

Add flowers, candles or the main "ingredient" of your centerpiece. For example, a beach themed centerpiece might have sand in each container with a starfish or sandcastle-shaped candle on top of the sand. A formal red, black and white wedding may have black pebbles or glass beads in the first one-third of the container holding a red rose in place (under water), filled three-quarters of the way with water and white floating candles on top.

    4

Encircle the square vases with plain votive candles in a complementary color such as white, cream or another light color. Each votive should be in a simple, clear glass votive holder for safety. Sprinkle colorful pebbles, glass beads or rose petals around the vases and votive candles.
