The McCulloch steam cleaner is a hand-held appliance that heats water to a near boiling point to produce steam, which is used as a cleaning agent. The cleaner does not use cleaner or other chemicals and can be used to clean floors, counter tops, tables, tile, toilets, drains, and decks. Available for purchase online or at select hardware or home repair stores, the steam cleaner operates well with standard care and maintenance. However, if issues with the steam cleaner occur, you can troubleshoot and fix most common problems. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
- 1
Plug the steam cleaner into an electrical outlet if it's not heating. Reset the circuit breaker for that outlet or replace the fuse if necessary.
2Unplug the steam cleaner and remove the safety cap from the top of the unit if the steam cleaner has power but no steam. Empty out any previous water and fill the included measuring cup to the max fill line with clean tap or distilled water. Line the measuring up with the water fill hole and pour the water into the unit. Close the safety cap and restore power.
3Unplug the steam cleaner and allow to cool completely if the unit has water but no steam. Remove the attachments and drain any excess water from the unit into a sink. Fill a mixture with 1 part vinegar and 1 part water in the measuring cup. Pour the cleaning mixture into the boiler and allow it to sit for 45 minutes. Drain the boiler and fill the water reservoir with clean water. Rinse and drain until you can no longer detect the scent of vinegar.
4Wipe the steam nozzle clean and remove any potential obstructions if the unit has power and is heating but is not dispensing steam.
5Contact McCulloch for additional assistance if you still have problems.
