Outdoor Barbeque Table Ideas

Outdoor Barbeque Table Ideas

It's summer time and you've decided to have people over for a barbecue. However, you're not sure what type of theme you want or how to set up your table. There are several options for table decorations that can carry over to the food as well. Set up a table that sticks with the theme and is easy for your guests to navigate. Does this Spark an idea?

Old West

Set up your tables in the style of the Old West. Cover the tables with a red, blue or brown tablecloth. Serve the food in cast iron cookware or in dishes in colors like browns, reds and blacks. You can offer your guests corn bread, chips or other items in serving bowls lined with bandanas. Place wash tubs at the ends of the tables and fill them with ice and drinks. Have your guests use Mason jars rather than plastic cups. You even can place silverware in these jars. Decorate the table with Mason jars filled with candles, wrought iron items, cowboy hats and other western items.

Tropical/Luau

Create a tropical theme with a bright or floral tablecloth. Decorate the table with Hibiscus flowers in vases or just lay out the flowers on the table. You also can decorate the table with leis, candles in blue-colored holders, and sea shells. Place the food on dishes covered with banana leaves or find bamboo-made serving dishes. You can even set out a bamboo table runner. Serve guests with brightly colored plates, cups and silverware. Serve drinks in large pitchers and set tropical umbrellas next to the drink station for the guests.

Fiesta

Cover the table with a brightly colored Mexican blanket or a tablecloth with the red and green colors of the Mexican flag. Lay out a sombrero or piata as the table centerpiece and decorate with other items like chili peppers and maracas. You can even string chili pepper lights across the front of the table. Serve items in Fiestaware, Terra cotta or green, red and white serving dishes. Serve drinks in margarita glasses and have margaritas available at the table.
